Dear STEAM Scholars and Family Members,
During these uncertain times, we want to ensure that we are providing you with all the necessary supports needed to ensure that you have an easy transition to Remote Learning. We know that ever so often even with access to technology, there are unforeseen challenges and potential issues that emerge with the devices we use to connect to the internet. To help support you during these times, we are offering Remote Desktop support to help you troubleshoot or repair computer systems/mobile devices that are experiencing performance or connection issues. These services will be available to any STEAM scholar and their family members FREE of charge by calling our repair service hotline at 347-692-8138 between the hours of 8:10am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday. In order to ensure that you also have a method of connecting with us for questions or concerns during school closures, please see the list of staff members and their Google contact phone numbers and email addresses below. We are readily available by phone and email during school hours.

REMOTE LEARNING ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear Scholars and Family members,
We do hope that you and your loved ones are staying well during these unprecedented times. In order to ensure that the learning continues during school closures, the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) and the Brooklyn STEAM Center will be transitioning to a Remote Learning system. To learn more about Remote Learning, and the latest NYCDOE COVID-19 updates, please click here. All scholars that are enrolled for programming here at the Brooklyn STEAM Center should continue to check their STEAM emails, and access their Schoology/Google Classroom accounts for assignments and course updates. REMOTE PARENT/GUARDIAN TEACHER CONFERENCE SIGN-UP
Dear Parent/Guardian, in response to the New York City Department of Education changes to the Parent Teacher Conference (PTC) format this Spring, we are providing families with the access to an online sign up, which will enable your scholar's teacher to contact you at the specified time.
The Brooklyn STEAM Center is an innovative career and technical training hub for 11th and 12th grade students, immersed within a robust industry environment, which prepares a pipeline of talented young adults who will thrive in the rapidly evolving manufacturing, technology, and creative fields. At STEAM, students engage in high quality professional work, develop robust and real industry networks, and explore tangible pathways to economic opportunity, all within the industry ecosystem at the Brooklyn Navy Yard - a 300 acre industrial park that houses over 400 businesses in cutting-edge industries.

Eight partner high school send students to the Brooklyn STEAM Center. Partner high schools focus on core academics while STEAM prepares students in career and technical education. Our partner schools are:

STEAM Center students train for two years in one of five high demand fields:
The Brooklyn STEAM Center is located within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a robust industry ecosystem of over 400 businesses that span manufacturing, technology, food, fashion and media. The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation leads industry advising and engagement, including:
- Convening an Advisory Council of 30+ businesses and higher education partners
- Coordinating Industry feedback loops to inform the curriculum
- Creating opportunities for work based learning
